Course Information
The course includes:
-
Five coached sessions per week for 10 weeks
-
All coaches are accredited with Triathlon Australia).
-
Access to additional sessions conducted by PTC.
-
Training Seminar – learn about the basics of our sport and how to improve your training.
-
Access to other club events (e.g. social events and the Perth Triathlon Club tent at events)
All sessions will be in a controlled environment, which means that you can go at your own pace and will never be too far from "base".
The training is based around venues that are within 5-7km of Perth CBD.
Our swims are at HBF (Challenge) Stadium in Mt Claremont while our cycles, runs and Sat Brick sessions will be at various venues (eg Matilda Bay, Perry Lakes, Kings Park and City Beach). A brick session is a combination of cycling and running (while later in the course we will include swimming in our “bricks”).
The sessions are as follows:
Cycle session: Tuesday 6am
Run session: Wednesday 6pm
Swim session: Wednesday and Friday 5.45 (Wed) / 6.00 (Fri)
Brick session: Sat 6.30am (some sessions may commence at 6.30am ).
We cover all the disciplines including transition training (changing from cycling to running) which is a difficult process if you haven’t done it before – eg we teach you how to get on and off your bike properly.
ALL our coaches are accredited with Triathlon Australia and have insurance at the industry standard.
The goal of this program is to provide customised training program to those who are targeting the Sprint and Classic-Distance Events during October to December 2017.
The cost is $300 for members or $400 for non-members
