What's Going on Around the Club: April!

Our beginners have graduated!

Well done to our beginners; who are now race finishers!

A glorious morning was had by all at the Coastal Quest Triathlon. Finally, the date and venue were agreed and the race thankfully went ahead. We saw many PTC faces beaming as they crossed the finish line. We all know that feeling! A big thank you to all the coaches who put in their time and effort into the program.

We welcome our graduating beginners group to the club and are grateful that you've chosen PTC to help support you in your triathlon journey.

Who survived Dams?

2 Dams: 53km and 1000m

3 Dams: 135km and 1500m

5 Dams: 205km and 3000m

We knew it was going to be tough and yes it was bloody tough!

Congrats to our crew who took on this challenge and ventured deep into a world of pain. I'd like to dispute David Goggins who says "when you think you're done, you're only at 40% of your bodies capabilities". The carnage going up the last climb showed differently. Many were truly at 100%. To those considering taking this on next year; do it! it's an epic challenge and achievement!

Karri Valley Triathlon - A weekend of racing and fun!

The 18th Karri Valley Triathlon certainly lived up to expectations. Stadium Triathlon Club put on another fantastic race.

PTC were well represented both in the short and long course races. With a mix of seasoned veterans and novice athletes; the course was awash with green, black and white. Congratulations to our podium placers Lydia, Aish and Jamie who were first in their age group. The evening kicked off after presentations with Simon Beaumont and his band belting out the tunes. I believe there was some midnight BBQing going on at the Poultney tent among other things! A great club weekend had by all.

Busso 70.3 Is Coming - This years tent action is bigger than ever before!

The countdown has begun and as our 70.3 athletes do their final block of training more important parts of this years race are being organized. I speak of the PTC supporters tent. We have enlisted the expertise of Louise Crawley, a professional in events and tent organisation, to oversee and coordinate this years extravaganza. The theme for our tent will be "Heroes and Villains". You now have a few weeks to get your costume sorted. Let's get this party started!

Busso 70.3 Long Brick - Sunday 18 April Shelley Foreshore

Our long brick for the 70.3 athletes is on Sunday 18 April. If you are free, come down and support or participate in what ever length you like. The 70.3 athletes will be doing a

2.15 - 2.30hr ride (each Shelley loop is around 20km) and 14 -18km run. The run course will be set up as a 2 km run (out and back each way) so you’ll hit the drink station every 2 km. 70.3 athletes will start at 6am and finish around 11am.

If you can please bring a plate to share for post brick brunch.

We'll have our tent up and table for drinks and hydration.

Please wear PTC kit if possible!

It would be great to see as many smiling faces as possible to help our crew get through the last big training session before Busso.
